Zhangbei Meteorological Bureau is a meteorological institution located in Zhangbei County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, China. It is affiliated with the Hebei Provincial Meteorological Bureau and is responsible for meteorological observation, weather forecasting, meteorological services, and meteorological research in the Zhangbei region.

The main responsibilities of the Zhangbei Meteorological Bureau include:

1. Meteorological Observation: Responsible for collecting and monitoring local meteorological data, such as temperature, humidity, precipitation, wind speed, and wind direction. By using automated weather stations and other observational methods, it provides accurate meteorological information.

2. Weather Forecasting: Based on meteorological observation data and numerical weather prediction models, it provides short-term, medium-term, and long-term weather forecasting services to the public. This includes routine weather forecasts as well as extreme weather warnings.

3. Meteorological Services: Offers a variety of meteorological services to local governments, enterprises, and the public, including agricultural meteorological services, disaster prevention and mitigation services, transportation meteorological services, and more.

4. Meteorological Research: Conducts meteorological research related to the local climate characteristics, studying regional climate change patterns to provide scientific meteorological support for local economic and social development.

5. Emergency Response: Provides timely meteorological warnings and emergency response services during complex weather events or natural disasters (such as heavy rain, snowstorms, strong winds, etc.), assisting the government and relevant departments in disaster prevention and mitigation efforts.

Zhangbei County is located in the northern part of Hebei Province and is a region with unique geographical and climatic characteristics. It experiences cold winters, cool summers, and abundant wind resources. Therefore, the Zhangbei Meteorological Bureau also has special responsibilities in wind resource monitoring and winter weather disaster warnings.

This project falls within a highly specialized field, and the client has presented numerous technical requirements. The project also involves multiple construction departments and poses challenges due to the complexity of the construction sites. However, thanks to the efforts of our colleagues and the factory’s technical department in overcoming these challenges, we successfully passed the plan review and secured the contract! The project delivery is just around the corner!
